Rotor is the Spanish company that built its entire philosophy around one engineering problem — eliminate the dead spot in the pedal stroke. About Rotor

Rotor was founded in Spain in 1994 by two cyclists with a single goal: eliminate the dead spot in the pedaling process — the moment at top-dead-center and bottom-dead-center where force transfer drops off and energy is wasted. The Q-Ring, Rotor’s oval chainring system, addresses this by accelerating the chain through the stroke’s weak points and loading it more efficiently through the power phase. Each Q-Ring uses Rotor’s OCP (Optimum Chainring Position) system, with multiple mounting positions that let riders dial in the offset to suit their individual pedaling style. From chainrings, Rotor expanded into cranks, bottom brackets, and crank-based power meters, becoming one of the few brands to integrate power measurement directly into the crank arm.
