Rotor Power Crank Info
The Rotor Power Crank puts dual-sided power measurement inside the crank arms themselves — not a spider, not a pedal axle — which is what makes its data so clean. Strain gauges sit at the heart of hollow left and right crank arms, measuring all three axes of deformation to filter out the false readings that come from lateral loading, road vibration, and shifting.
One consequence of that placement: the measurement point sits where no thermal tension builds as metal expands and contracts, making the Power Crank immune to temperature-induced power drift — a real-world problem on rides that cross multiple climate zones or transition between shade and sun. Data samples at 500Hz, and the unit is built on Rotor's 3D+ crank platform, keeping the weight penalty to 30g over a standard 3D+ MAS. Beyond raw wattage, left/right balance data gives you something to train against — not just fitness, but pedaling technique and muscle symmetry.
