Basso Bikes

Basso is a family-owned Italian bicycle manufacturer with roots going back to 1974, when Alcide Basso began building frames in his family's garage in the Veneto region — inspired by his brother Marino, the 1972 UCI Road World Champion. What started in a family garage is now a brand in more than 25 countries, still building carbon frames in Italy and still family-run after five decades.

At RA Cycles, the Basso collection spans road and gravel: the Diamante is Basso's flagship road frameset, available in disc brake, rim brake, and SV disc variants, built for serious performance riding with the refinement that comes from fifty years of Italian frame building. The Palta brings that same pedigree to gravel geometry, and the Astra offers a more accessible entry point into the Basso road lineup. Every frameset is made in Italy.

About Basso Bikes

Basso is a family-owned Italian bicycle company with roots going back to 1974, when Alcide Basso began building frames in his family's garage in the Veneto region — inspired by his brother Marino, the 1972 UCI Road World Champion and multiple Giro d'Italia and Tour de France stage winner. The company was formally registered in 1977, and for the past five decades it has remained in the Basso family. Headquartered in San Zenone degli Ezzelini in the province of Treviso, with production in Dueville (Vicenza), Basso has built carbon frames in Italy since 1996 and now distributes across more than 25 countries through a network of over 400 dealers. At RA Cycles, the Basso collection covers 12 Italian-made framesets spanning road and gravel. The Diamante is Basso's flagship road frameset — available in disc brake and rim brake versions, as well as the SV (Sport Versatile) disc variant — built for performance road riding with the refinement that comes from five decades of Italian frame construction. The Palta Disc brings Basso's engineering to gravel geometry, and the Astra Disc offers a more accessible entry into the Basso road lineup. Every frameset in the collection is designed and made in Italy.
