Women Triathlon Helmets

In triathlon, your helmet is one of the few legal modifications that meaningfully reduces drag — and every second counts on the bike leg. Women Triathlon Helmets at RA Cycles covers 13 full-aero options from Giro, Kask, and Lazer: closed-shell designs with integrated visors, elongated tails, and in several cases built-in rotational protection for riders who don’t want to choose between safety and speed.

The collection spans the top tier of what’s available in women’s aero helmet design. The Giro Aerohead MIPS II, Kask Mistral, Kask Bambino Pro, and Lazer Volante and Victor Kineticore each take a different approach to the same goal. RA Cycles staff can walk you through visor fit, strap routing for transition, and how each model performs in heat.

About Women's Triathlon Helmets

Triathlon helmets are purpose-built around one variable: aerodynamics. The closed shell, elongated tail, and integrated visor are all designed to reduce drag in the TT position, where the helmet represents one of the largest sources of wind resistance on the bike. Unlike road helmets, there are no open vents to cool you down — the tradeoff is real heat buildup on longer bike legs. For Olympic-distance and shorter formats that’s manageable; for Ironman-distance events it’s something to weigh carefully.

Giro’s Aerohead MIPS II is notable in this category for combining a closed aero shell with MIPS rotational protection — a feature rarely seen in full-aero lids. Kask’s Mistral and Bambino Pro represent the Italian school of pure aero design: seamless shells, minimal visor gap, and a focus on drag reduction above all else. Lazer’s Volante and Victor use Kineticore, their proprietary rotational protection technology integrated into the helmet structure rather than a separate liner. All 13 helmets in this collection are available in women’s sizing and colourways.
