THE ENVE FRAY
Every Road. Your Way.
THE BIKE THAT REFUSES TO PICK A LANE
Most endurance bikes look the part — relaxed, practical, a little boring. The ENVE Fray doesn't play that game. It was designed by former racers who wanted a bike that could go long without going soft — a bike that feels fast on the flats, stable in the corners, and ready for whatever surface comes next.
Built by hand in Ogden, Utah, the Fray sits between ENVE's Melee race machine and their MOG gravel bike. It borrows the Melee's confidence and the MOG's versatility — then wraps it in colors that actually make you want to ride it. This is the bike for riders who want race-day sharpness without race-day consequences.
REAL-WORLD FAST
The Fray was developed in CFD simulation and validated in ENVE's wind tunnel — the same process behind their SES wheel line. The tube shapes are tuned to complement ENVE's own rim profiles, so the frame and wheels work as a system, not as separate parts bolted together. The result is a bike that's just 4.4 watts off the Melee race bike — and that gap comes entirely from the taller geometry, not from aerodynamic compromise.
In real terms, you're giving up almost nothing on speed. What you gain is a riding position that lets you stay out longer, tire clearance that opens up your road options, and a frame that absorbs rough surfaces instead of transmitting them straight to your hands.
DESIGNED TO BE RIDDEN — NOT JUST LOOKED AT
The Fray has a visual presence that most endurance bikes don't. The tube shapes are sculpted, the integration is seamless, and the colorways make it clear this isn't a bike that apologizes for being practical. Every line serves a purpose, but they also happen to look right.
ENVE M.O.D CARBON
ENVE's M.O.D Carbon isn't about using the most expensive fiber — it's about using the right fiber in the right place. Continuous fibers run through the frame and fork, with the layup tapered zone by zone to balance stiffness, compliance, and impact resistance. The result is a 900-gram frame that sprints like a race bike and absorbs road noise like an endurance one.
Engineering That Earns Its Keep
Wires and hoses route through the bar, stem, and headset — secured by ENVE's anti-rattle finishing kit. Clean lines, zero cable noise, full aero benefit of a one-piece look with the serviceability of a two-piece system.
An integrated downtube compartment with two internal bags — 36 cubic inches of space for a repair kit, windbreaker, or nutrition. Fast access, zero aero penalty, nothing bouncing in your jersey pocket.
The truncated aerofoil profile cuts drag behind the seat tube. Available in straight or 20mm setback, compatible with 7x7, 7x9, and 7x10mm saddle rails. Aero where it counts, adjustable where you need it.
A threaded BB that's smooth, silent, and creak-free — no press-fit headaches. The T47 standard with inboard bearings delivers a wider bearing platform for better durability and easier maintenance.
UDH compatibility means you're not locked into one drivetrain ecosystem. Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo — the Fray plays well with all of them, and future-proofs your build against whatever comes next.
40MM OF POSSIBILITY
The Fray's geometry is optimized around 31–35mm tires — that's the sweet spot where the handling feels dialed. But when the road deteriorates or you want to explore a gravel connector, there's room for up to 40mm with a 1x drivetrain and 38mm with a 2x. It's not a gravel bike pretending to be a road bike. It's a road bike that doesn't panic when the pavement ends.
FOUR FORKS — ONE PERFECT FIT
Most bikes offer one fork across all sizes. ENVE designed four, each with a different rake — 55mm for the smallest frames, down to 43mm for the largest. The result is that every rider gets the same intended handling character, regardless of their height. It's the kind of detail that separates a bike that fits from a bike that feels right.
SEVEN SIZES — ZERO COMPROMISES
The Fray comes in seven frame sizes from 47 to 60cm. Combined with four fork rakes and a la carte handlebar, stem, and seatpost options, it's the most readily customizable fixed-geometry endurance bike on the market. This isn't one-size-fits-most — it's precision fit from the frame up.
MOUNTING POINTS FOR THE LONG HAUL
Top tube accessory mount for food and nutrition. Down tube mount for an extra bottle, tool kit, or frame bag. Fender mounts for commuting and wet-weather riding. The Fray doesn't just tolerate accessories — it's designed around them. Every mount is integrated, reinforced, and positioned where you actually need it.
ANTI-RATTLE FINISHING KIT
Internal cable management goes beyond routing — ENVE's finishing kit secures wires and hoses inside the frame so nothing buzzes, rattles, or moves. Silence at speed, every ride.
FLAT MOUNT DISC BRAKES
12x100 front and 12x142 rear thru-axles with flat mount disc brakes. The current standard for power, modulation, and all-weather stopping — clean integration, no compromises.
INTERNAL ROUTING
Every cable and hose is routed internally from the cockpit through the frame. The result is a clean silhouette, better aerodynamics, and one less thing to snag on a frame bag or knee.
FENDER MOUNTS
Year-round riders know — fender mounts aren't a luxury, they're a necessity. The Fray includes integrated mounts front and rear, so you can commute, train through winter, or ride in the rain without compromise.
FIND YOUR SIZE
The Fray comes in seven sizes with four different fork rakes — a level of fit customization you won't find on most production bikes. If you're between sizes or want guidance on stack, reach, and bar width, our team can help. We use your height, inseam, current bike fit, and riding goals to dial it in.
