The journey began with the groundbreaking Mach 4 and Mach 5 models, which introduced unparalleled efficiency and pedaling prowess. In 2008, Pivot unveiled the renowned Firebird, a standout in the All-Mountain category with 167mm of rear-wheel travel. Its patented floating front derailleur design addressed major shifting and chain management challenges, solidifying the Firebird's position as a trailblazer ahead of its time. This commitment to innovation continued with the introduction of the Phoenix downhill bike in 2010 and the establishment of Pivot Factory Racing, marking the brand's entry into the World Cup circuit.

By 2011, Pivot ventured into carbon technology with the Mach 5.7, ushering in an era of lighter, stiffer, and stronger mountain bikes. The evolution continued with the 2014 release of the first carbon Mach 4 featuring 27.5” wheels. This model gained international acclaim when Chloe Woodruff competed with it in the 2016 Rio Olympics and later rode the Mach 4 SL to a World Cup short track victory, showcasing its world-class performance.

Pivot's dedication to pushing boundaries was evident again in 2016 with the launch of the first-generation Switchblade. This model redefined what longer-travel 29ers could be, featuring short chainstays, 135mm/160mm of travel, advanced geometry, and incredible frame stiffness. Celebrating their 10-year anniversary in 2017, Pivot introduced the Mach 5.5, a 27.5” trail bike that balanced capability and efficiency, and ventured into the eMTB market with the Shuttle, delivering unmatched ride performance and integration.

In recent years, Pivot has continued to innovate with models like the new Switchblade in 2020, which set the tone for future designs with radical changes and revised geometry. The same year saw the launch of the updated Vault with patented Iso-Flex technology, enhancing comfort and performance in gravel racing. The 2021 Firebird became a game-changer in the Enduro World Series, helping Pivot Factory Racing clinch the #1 EWS team ranking. The updated Trail 429 further enhanced its capabilities while preserving its legendary sharpness.
