Scott Foil

The Scott Foil RC was built around one question: how much speed can you find without adding weight or sacrificing handling? The answer is Scott’s F01 Airfoil Technology — a truncated airfoil profile developed through CFD analysis and wind tunnel testing that reduces drag without the weight penalty of a full-depth tube. The result is 1 minute and 18 seconds faster over 40 kilometers than the previous Foil. The HMX SL carbon frame uses 30% fewer carbon pieces than its predecessor, tightening stiffness while reducing weight, and the dropped seatstays, integrated head tube, and deeper fork cross-section deliver aero gains without changing the bike’s handling character. Clearance for 30mm tires keeps ride quality honest on imperfect roads.

The RA Cycles Foil RC collection spans five builds — RC 20, RC 10, RC Team, RC Pro, and RC Ultimate — all on the same HMX SL carbon platform with Syncros-integrated cockpit components.

About the Scott Foil RC

The Scott Foil RC is Scott’s flagship aero road platform, refined through multiple generations of WorldTour racing. The current version is a ground-up redesign built around F01 Airfoil Technology — truncated airfoil tube profiles shaped through CFD analysis and wind tunnel testing that deliver real drag reduction without the weight cost of a full-depth airfoil. Scott’s HMX SL carbon construction uses 30% fewer carbon pieces than the previous generation, improving stiffness while reducing weight. Syncros-integrated cockpit components — the Creston iC SL Aero handlebar and Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost — are developed as part of the same aero system, not added after the fact.
