Afterward, join us back at RA Cycles for complimentary food and beverages courtesy of ASSOS, followed by an exclusive 15-minute fireside chat with seven-time U.S. Professional Criterium National Champion Kendall Ryan, hosted by ASSOS ambassador Anthony Palicci. Hear Kendall share the story behind her journey to the top of American cycling, the lessons she's learned along the way, and a few behind-the-scenes stories from life in the pro peloton. Whether you come for the ride, the conversation, or simply to connect with other passionate cyclists, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Oh, and don't forget! We will be raffling off a women's and men's Assos jersey selected by Kendall and Anthony. Attendance is required to win.

RA Cycles Shop Ride - Morgan Territory Loop

The longest days of the year are upon us, and the heat is well on its way. This is the perfect time of the year for a Morgan Territory Loop! Come join us for another exciting RA Cycles Group Ride!

We will meet at the shop at * 7:30am * - and roll at *8:00am * so we can beat the HEAT and the weekend traffic.

From R&A Cycles Walnut Creek we roll south on Mt. Diablo Blvd, quickly connecting with the Contra Costa Canal Trail and out to Oak Grove Road. A left turn onto Ygnacio Valley sees our first climb up and over to Clayton for our first regroup / bathroom stop.

🛑 **Rest Stop #1 – Clayton Market (around mile 15):**
Very quick refill and regroup at the market / park in downtown.

From Clayton, we follow Marsh Creek Road, and then the real climbing begins. Morgan Territory is a legendary East Bay climb with tight switchbacks, eucalyptus canopy, and almost* no car traffic. It’s peaceful, punchy, and the crown jewel of the route.

🛑 **Rest Stop #2 – Morgan Territory Summit Staging Area (approx. mile 30):**
Catch your breath, grab a snack, and soak in the views at the top. The staging area is a quiet plateau with wide-open vistas—perfect for photos.

The descent down the south side of Morgan is fast, technical, and unforgettable, dropping into Livermore’s countryside with vineyard views and sun-drenched roads. Then we’ll take Highland Road, connecting to Camino Tassajara, and finally wind back through Blackhawk - Danville - Alamo neighborhoods.

Back into Walnut Creek, and a quick jog from Rudgear to Olympic Blvd, and finishing on Blvd Way back to the shop.

Womens Group Ride

The time change is behind us, and spring appears to be here in full force! Come join us for a loop through the redwoods of Canyon / Pinehurst, along Grizzley Peak, and back through Lamorinda.

Our Saturday Open Group Ride is doing a similar route, but in the other direction. They will also meet and start at the same time! Check the RA Cycles Northern California Strava club page for that event.

We will meet at 8:00am and roll at 8:30am. The group will head up the Lamorinda bike path to Moraga, and take a right turn on Pinehurst into Canyon. A quick regroup at the top of Pinehurst, and then onto Grizzley Peak for what should be some of the clearest views of the Bay. A quick water stop at the Tilden Steam Trains, then down South Park drive and over to the recently re-opened Wildcat Canyon descent to Orinda. Then we will roll to downtown Orinda and either turn to head back, or continue to Moraga for a few additional miles. The group will decide once we descend Wildcat.

38 miles, and 2800ft of climbing. Should take the group 2.5 hours with stops.

Ramona's Cafe will be open après ride serving light food and beverages!

Marta will be leading as usual.

RA Cycles Shop Road Ride

Spring is winding down and summer is right around the corner. So our next shop ride is a great spring double loop out to Crockett and back.

We will meet at the shop at 8am and roll at 8:30am. Bathrooms, tire pumps, and last minute items will be available.

We will roll from the shop and take Buena Vista out to Alhambra Ave into Martinez. We will briefly regroup at the cemetery just before we hit the Carquinez Scenic Drive and Bike Path to Crockett. In Downtown Crockett we will regroup/bathroom stop at the gas station. Then we head up Crockett Blvd to Cummings Skyway, and down Franklin Canyon back to Alhambra Ave. On the return leg of the ride we will head out to Pig Farm and Bear Creek Road and turn left onto my favorite short and steep climb in the East Bay - Happy Valley Road. A brief regroup at the top of the climb before we descend into Lafayette, and back to the shop via Deer Hill Road to Stanley to Camino Diablo which puts us at the shop.

Please plan your nutrition and hydration based on the weather forecast and the one man stop in Crockett.

Please download the route to your Garmin or Wahoo in advance, and plan to be self sufficient should the group get separated. We do not plan to leave anyone behind, but there is usually a wide range of speed and fitness levels on the ride.

Share the ride with your friends and riding groups.
