The Zaffiro has been around for a while. But Vittoria keeps on improving it. The latest upgrade is the tread rubber. They’ve mixed in their G+ rubber compound to improve the grip, decrease the rolling resistance, so you can roll faster for longer, on an already long-lasting tire. The tread itself is an all-weather design, which holds well in the wet and dry.

The casing is designed for durability. It is constructed out of a 60 TPI cloth. The larger weave makes it more durable, less susceptible to cuts and rips. The cost is that the casing isn’t as supple, and won’t feel as smooth or fast, but, as this tire is built for long miles, the tire was built to ride without being stopped by glass shards, sharp gravel, and nails.
