The Crank Brothers Candy 7 Pedals sit at a deliberate point in the Candy lineup — sharing the same 6061-T6 aluminum body and retention geometry as the top-tier Candy 11, but built around a SCM 435 chromoly steel spindle and 17-4PH stainless steel wings rather than titanium. The result is a pedal that performs identically to its more expensive sibling at a weight of 320g per pair.

Engagement works through Crank Brothers' four-sided entry system, so you clip in without hunting for the platform — useful when you're remounting in a hurry or mid-climb. The customizable traction pads on the body sides come in 1mm and 2mm thicknesses and can be swapped or removed entirely depending on how much grip you want underfoot. Release angle is adjustable too: orient the cleat one way for 15 degrees of float release, the other for 20 degrees. Bearings are a matched pair — Igus LL-glide bushings inboard and Enduro cartridge bearings outboard — designed to handle grit and mud without seizing.
