Rim strips are the layer between your tubes and your tire. They protect the tubes from going through spoke holes. Continental makes Easy Tape as a simple, durable, solution.

It’s a fabric-reinforced strip that you stretch over the sidewall of the rim and let settle in the clincher rim bed. Conti’ makes it for just about every conceivable rim diameter and width. We’re carrying them for 700c, 29er, and 27.5 (650b) wheels.

700c and 29” are actually the same diameter; 622mm. The difference is that the 29er strips can be wider and are also thinner, to work better with lower pressure tires. The 700c version can hold up to 220psi, while the 29er version can hold less than 116psi. 650b wheels have a diameter of 584mm, and the rim strips for them are also rated for less than 116psi.
