The GRX RX610 build keeps the carbon frame and fork identical to every other Aspero in the lineup, right down to the aerodynamic tube shaping, and pairs it with a more budget-conscious mechanical groupset and alloy cockpit. For riders who want the race-proven platform without the price tag of a top-tier SRAM or Shimano Di2 build, this gravel bike is the way in.
Cervelo's approach to aerodynamics on the Aspero isn't about chasing outright speed the way it might on a road bike. It's about energy conservation over long, punishing days in the saddle. Cervelo estimates the current frame saves a few watts over the previous generation, the kind of margin that matters less in a headwind sprint and more by hour six of a gravel race, when every bit of spared effort keeps you off the ropes. To back that up, Cervelo dropped the seat stays for a bit more rear-end compliance and slightly softened front-end stiffness, changes aimed at making the last stretch of a long ride less punishing on the body. The frame also picked up added mud clearance, informed by lessons Cervelo pulled from its R5-CX cyclocross bike and its own experience at the notoriously muddy 2023 Unbound Gravel.
