The SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS Rear Derailleur is built for riders who want wireless 12-speed shifting without compromise on weight or durability. The cage is carbon with titanium hardware and steel bearings — materials chosen to keep weight down while handling the demands of technical trail riding. At 354 grams, it sits at the top of SRAM's Eagle AXS lineup and is aimed squarely at cross-country and endurance applications.
The derailleur carries an IP69K water and dustproof rating, meaning creek crossings, mud, and post-ride pressure washing are non-issues. A shorter cage design is intended to maximize ground clearance on rooted and rocky terrain, and the motor gearbox is designed to disengage on impact — allowing the derailleur to deflect and return to position rather than absorb the hit through drivetrain components. Eagle Pulley Technology delivers smooth, quiet engagement across the full 10–50t cassette range, with additional chainwrap geometry designed to keep the derailleur positioned further inboard and forward for more consistent tension.
