Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 Front Derailleur Info
Shimano’s new Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 Front Derailleur updates and upgrades the 9050 version.
There are two notable improvements with the 9150. The first is a smaller profile makes it even less likely to be damaged in a crash. The second is Shimano found a way to remove 10g of weight; it’s now down to 104g. Impressively, it also shifts under load better.
The FD-9150 comes in a braze-on version only. It is designed to work with the Dura-Ace 9150 group. It plugs in to Shimano’s E-Tube wires, which means it can work with 9050 Dura-Ace and 6870 Ultegra Di2 shifters. Likewise, it is compatible with all 9050 and 6870 components. The big ring size it works best with ranges from 46-55 teeth. The derailleur comes with no wires; they must be purchased separately.
The Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 FD-R9150 Front Derailleur, thanks to its auto-trim feature, has always been magical. Now it’s just that much more so.
