Shimano Di2 SW-R610 Sprinter Switch Info
If you've ever wished you could easily shift your bike while sprinting out of the saddle, the Shimano Di2 SW-R610 Sprinter Switches are for you.
There are two switches in the set, one for the left side of the bars, one for the right. They plug into one of the three plugs in the Di2 ST-9070, ST-6770 or ST-R785 Dual Control Shifters. The switches have 150mm of wire attached to them, so you have a fairly wide range of placement options. This is something that you need to set up under your bar tape, so if you've got Di2 on your bike already, you'll either need to unwrap your bars or re-wrap with new tape.
The basic idea is that one side, usually the left, shifts up into easier gears, and the other side switches down into harder gears. This way, you'll be ready to fine-tune your cadence as you're attacking or drag racing to the finish line. And thanks to the precision of Di2, no matter what your cadence is, you'll never miss a shift or slip a gear.
What the shifters do can be programmed and reprogrammed via Shimano's SM-PCE1 system programming hardware.
The Shimano Di2 SW-R610 Sprinter Switches allow you to shift when you're going full-bore out of the saddle in your drops.
