The Scott Addict RC is a performance road bike that can thrive at a high level. The frame has been redesigned to be Scott’s lightest bike yet, weighing just 690 grams which is 300 grams lighter than the previous model. This significant weight reduction is paired with a 12-watt aerodynamic improvement and a 36 percent increase in comfort. This makes it one of the most efficient and rideable bikes on the market. The new frame offers 34mm tire clearance, accommodating a variety of setups to suit different road conditions. The Scott Addict RC is an innovative bike that balances speed and comfort.
Scott’s advanced carbon molding process is at the core of the Addict RC’s new weight reduction. By creating a fully hollow frame with optimal compaction and no voids or wrinkles, Scott has minimized unnecessary reinforcements and maximized material efficiency. The result is a frame with 0.6mm thick walls in targeted areas. This cuts weight where possible and maintains durability where needed. This meticulous engineering extends to the seatpost, which is 10 percent lighter than the previous model and offers improved comfort. For even greater compliance, the SP-R101-CF seatpost enhances the bike’s flex by 30 percent and integrates a magnetic bracket for accessory mounting.
The Addict RC is equipped with a Syncros cockpit, designed to enhance aerodynamics and weight savings. This version combines a carbon bar and alloy stem for weight savings and durability. A newly designed computer mount, weighing only 12 grams makes it easy to mount your favorite computer with virtually no weight penalty. This integration of technology extends to a T25 tool housed in the cockpit for easy tuning of key components like the stem, handlebars, and seatpost.
A new geometry has been dialed in to maintain comfort on long rides while staying fast and agile on turns. This new frame includes clearance for 34mm tires. The Addict RC 20 combines performance with affordability and includes Syncros Capital 1.0 Wheels fitted with Schwalbe One tires. It also features a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset efficient 12-speed electronic shifting at a lower price. The Scott Addict RC is one of the lightest bikes on the market with great speed and comfort.
