As with all Rotor rings, the NoQX starts off as 7075 aluminum plate, and is CNC-machined into shape. It is relieved of as much material as Rotor believes is possible without compromising the stiffness of the ring. The teeth are tall enough so that the chain won’t unship, and they utilize a thick-thin alternating tooth system to further ensure the chain stays on no matter what.
Then, Rotor anodizes and finishes the ring so it has a color and look that matches the rest of the Rotor crankset.
Not only does this NoQX ring work with Rotor cranks, but it also is a great-looking ring that can add performance to any five-arm 110mm bcd crankset.
