PRO Race Control Bar Tape Info

PRO’s Control line of handlebar tapes gives you options for covering your bars.

Their Sport Control style is PRO’s take on traditional cork-style EVA tape. The material is a mix of cork and EVA foam, which is inexpensive and durable. There are two colors, though Black is certainly the go-to for most.

Race Control tape is a bit more dense than the Sport version. It’s microfiber and foam, with a smooth surface covering and a smart silicone on the inside. It is a sticky yet reusable silicone adhesive that sticks to the tape and not the bars. This means you don’t have to get it perfect the first time, and if you need to unwrap for any reason, you can.

The Reflective Control style is in update of the Black Race Control tape. It is a microfiber tape with a 6mm wide reflective stripe embossed on one edge. It looks like a grey stripe until a light is flashed on it. Then it seemingly electrifies.

In all cases, the package consists of two 200mm long, 30mm wide, 2.5mm thick rolls. You also get end plugs, lever clamp covering strips, and two pieces of finishing tape.
