The Pivot Shadowcat is a genre-blending trail bike that combines the lightweight frame of a cross country bike with the compliance of a more endurance-oriented machine. This new release from Pivot can compete across a massive range of terrain. Its 27.5-inch wheels make it nimbler than your typical trail or endurance bike, but the suspension and well-engineered frame keep it fast and comfortable through a difficult ride. This Team version of the Shadowcat, equipped with a Fox Factory DPS shock and Fox Factory 36 Fork. This provides 140mm of rear travel and 160mm at the front. This is plenty to take on the toughest terrain without slowing you down. The Pivot Shadowcat is here to help you dominate any trail you wish to attack.
The frame of the Shadowcat is made with lightweight Hollow Core Carbon. This technology keeps the frame as light as some cross country frames and blows away the weight of standard trail bikes. It also utilizes Pivot’s dw-Link suspension kinematics which allows riders to pedal and climb with a similar feel to many lower travel bikes. Its tuned geometry leads to a poppy and responsive frame that is a ton of fun on every ride. This results in massive acceleration and speed as you wind through the trails. The Pivot Shadowcat is a true trail shedder that gives you all the tools you need to thrive.
In addition to its low weight, the pivot Shadowcat is very strong and ready to take on the roughest trails out there. Its low standover height and modern geometry keep riders confident as they take on bumpy or hard to navigate rides. Short 430mm chainstays pair well with smaller wheels when it comes to cornering at high speeds. This elite version of the Shadowcat is equipped with a SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type transmission for some of the most unique, efficient, and durable shifting you can get for the trail. It also has Reynolds Blacklabel Trail Pro carbon fiber wheels for high-level performance. The Pivot Shadowcat is here to make every trail a fun and welcome challenge.
