Maxima Racing Oils DOT 5.1 Standard Brake Fluid is a glycol-based hydraulic fluid designed for use in any brake or clutch system specifying DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 fluid — note it is not compatible with silicone-based DOT 5 systems. Its anti-vapor lock formulation is intended to maintain consistent lever feel under heat and moisture exposure, resisting the vaporization that leads to a spongy, unresponsive brake. The formula is also designed to protect against corrosion and oxidation, and is compatible with SBR, EPDM, and natural rubber seals. Available in a 4oz bottle for topping off or a 16.9oz bottle for full system bleeds.
