ENVE’s SES Aero Carbon-Fiber Road Bar Clip-On Extensions provides the kit you want to reach for after you want to turn your ENVE SES Aero Road Bars into the base bar for time trials or multi-sport events. Uncut, the kit weighs in at 455g
The extensions themselves start out long, and can be adjusted for reach as well as cut down for customization. Uncut, they extensions are J-bends, with threading holes for mechanical or electronic cables to run internally. But the extensions can be cut down in front to make S-bends, or even straight. Depending on what you want, you can cut them down from the front or from the rear, with cut lines discreetly marked so you know exactly where to cut and can easily transfer the cuts to the other bar. They assume you’ll want to cut them down to size. Max extension length is 317mm.
The extensions and the clamps and armrests are made of uni-directional carbon-fiber.
The clamps have two mounting points for the armrests, one over the handlebars, one in front. Each armrest has eight mounting holes to allow you to adjust the pads fore-aft, narrow-wide, and for canting. They figure the minimum width between the pads will be 200mm, and the maximum, depending on the width of the center section, will be 340mm. The max cant angle is ten degrees inward. The pads are made of neoprene.
