DMT KM30 MTB Shoe Info
The DMT KM30 MTB Shoe is a lightweight cross-country mountain bike shoe built around a full Engineered 3D Knit upper, a construction DMT uses with yarns and knit structures of varying thickness to hug the shape of your foot while staying breathable and quick to dry after a wet ride or a stream crossing. The knit stretches slightly for comfort but keeps enough structure where the shoe needs to hold your foot steady during hard pedaling efforts, and the knit construction cuts down on stitched seams that can create pressure points over a long ride. A single BOA L6 dial handles the closure, giving you a precise, micro-adjustable fit you can tighten or loosen on the fly, even with gloves on, without the multiple straps or laces some MTB shoes still rely on.
Underneath, the KM30 runs DMT's Air Tech carbon outsole with interchangeable rubber lugs, a setup built to transfer power efficiently through the pedal stroke while still giving you real traction for the hike-a-bike sections and loose terrain that come with XC and trail riding. The lugs can be swapped out as they wear, extending the life of the sole rather than forcing a full shoe replacement. The cleat mount has 8mm of front-rear adjustability, so you can fine-tune foot position over the pedal spindle rather than being locked into one spot. DMT backs the sole with a newly injected heel counter for a more secure heel hold during hard efforts, a resistant coating on the toe cap to guard against rock strikes and trail debris, and reflective logos for a bit of added visibility if a ride runs into low light.
The KM30 comes in Black, Grey, and Gold colorways across a full size run from 37 to 48. It's built for riders who want a race-oriented knit shoe without stepping up to DMT's top-tier carbon models — light enough for XC racing, but durable enough to handle the abuse of rock gardens and rooty singletrack on a longer trail ride. The knit upper tends to fit well straight out of the box with minimal break-in, and because the BOA dial lets you make micro-adjustments mid-ride, it's easy to loosen the fit on a long climb and cinch it back down before a technical descent.
