Built on a clean KMC X101 1/8" track chain, it's processed through CeramicSpeed's UFO method: deep-soaked in a proprietary wax and Teflon bath inside a clean room environment, completely free of conventional lubricants and contaminants before it ever reaches you.

The result is a drivetrain loss reduction of two to five watts compared to a standard chain and lube setup — a manufacturer claim, but one backed by CeramicSpeed's roots in Friction Facts testing. The updated formula is designed to be up to 15% faster than the previous version. Once installed, the chain is optimized for approximately 370 miles (600 km) in clean conditions — don't lube it during that window. If it gets wet, a wax-based lube with Teflon is the right call.
