This version is spec'd for 25mm spindles, with aluminum cups pressed into a smooth-bore shell and CeramicSpeed's Grade 3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls at the core.

Those ceramic balls are the reason this bottom bracket exists in the first place. CeramicSpeed's Grade 3 Silicon Nitride balls are assembled into hardened steel races in dust-free clean rooms, producing bearings that are significantly smoother, harder, and lighter than standard steel — and measurably smoother than off-the-shelf ceramic alternatives. The result is less frictional resistance at the crank interface and bearing longevity that, by manufacturer testing, runs three to five times longer than conventional bearings.
