BBright's asymmetric 79mm-wide shell — 11mm wider than BB30/PF30, with the extra width on the non-drive side — is designed to allow for a wider left chainstay and meaningfully improved lateral stiffness. The bearings use Grade 3 Silicon Nitride balls — tested at 400% smoother and 128% harder than standard steel bearing balls, and installed into hardened steel races in dust-free clean rooms.
