CeramicSpeed Ceramic Race Bottom Bracket - Bbright to 24mm (Shimano) Info
The CeramicSpeed Ceramic Race Bottom Bracket – BBright to 24mm solves a specific problem: getting a 24mm spindle crankset — Shimano and compatible equivalents — into a BBright press-fit frame without compromising on bearing quality. BBright's asymmetric 79mm-wide shell offers more lateral rigidity than narrower standards, and this bottom bracket is built to take full advantage of that architecture while giving you CeramicSpeed's bearing performance in the process.
The bearings themselves are the reason this bracket exists at a different level from standard press-fit options. CeramicSpeed uses Grade 3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls — harder, smoother, and significantly lighter than steel — pressed into hardened steel races in controlled, dust-free conditions. The result is dramatically reduced friction and bearing life that can run three to five times longer than conventional bearings. Aluminum cups and sleeves complete the assembly, with components machined by Rotor in Spain and bearings pressed at CeramicSpeed's facility in Denmark.
