Assos LL.habuTights_s7_no insert Info
The great thing about Assos cycling tights without inserts is that you can use them for all sorts of other winter sports from trail running to skiing. The Assos LL.habuTights_s7_no insert have the same great innovations as the version with the insert, but then also have the added advantage of being useful in all different kinds of activities.

There’s no question that Assos likes to give you as many options as possible to fine tune your outfit according to the variances in the weather from day to day. The habu series represents the clima range that will keep you warm in cool to cold temperatures without causing you to overheat. For much of the habuTights Assos uses their RX Medium fabric. As the name suggests, it is a medium weight Roubaix material that feels blanket warm while still allowing your body to breathe and ventilate. Recognizing that your knees need a touch more protection, Assos has put a double layer of the RX medium around the knee area. To combat road spray and fall mists, Assos has added a WR treatment to help shed the water. That doesn’t make these waterproof, just water repellent. It’ll make a big difference in most moist situations, but if you think you’ll be out in the rain for several hours, maybe you’ll want to throw a pair of the clima.X sturmNuss tights on over these babies. The front of the tights around your midsection makes use of Assos’ blasenSchutz, or bladder protection. In spite of the name, this is an innovation you’ll be happy to have because they have inserted a panel of their Stratagon windblock fabric in the abdomen and the groin to keep that area warm and shielded from icy air daggers. Assos hopes it will help you not have to pee as much on cold rides.
Though you have probably come to expect this from Assos, it is worth noting that the habu tights are anatomically cut to ensure the precise fit while you are on your bike. Most noticeably, behind the knees have a new construction that tapers perfectly because they use multiple panels so that there will be no excess fabric bunching when you are in your riding position. Assos has also used the RX Light fabric for this area since you don’t need so much heavy material behind your leg, which will help your legs ventilate and keep from overheating. Assos has also eschewed the ankle loop that has long been a staple of the tights. Instead, the ankle cuff is kept in place using the same gummy material used in the s7 shorts. If you’ve had to stop mid-ride to readjust the ankle straps causing painful pressure points in your shoes – underneath your rain booties – then you’ll really appreciate this little nod towards simplified designs.
Depending on what you want to match the habu tights with on top, Assos has added a fine-mesh rear pocket over the right hip. That way you can slip in a key and your id, for instance, to be sure those important items are always close and safe. And the rear legs have a large section of reflectors to keep you visible on those inevitably dark and gloomy days. The Assos LL.habuTights_s7_no insert will quickly work their way into your winter activities wardrobe whether you are on the bike or any of your other favorite cold weather sports.
