The Zipp VukaShift Extensions solve a problem that most aerobar setups quietly ignore: the shifter-to-extension connection adds weight, complexity, and distance between your hands and the controls. Rather than attaching the shifter to a separate assembly that then plugs into the extension, the VukaShift integrates the shifter mount directly into the extension itself — eliminating the expansion bolt hardware entirely and saving up to 80 grams per pair.
That integration also brings the shift levers 30mm closer to your hands compared to conventional setups, which reduces wrist strain and keeps you in a true aero position while you shift. The extensions use Zipp's chicane shape and weigh approximately 120 grams per pair. Cutting guidelines are marked on the underside in 1cm increments — with half-centimeter marks indicated by smaller lines — so fitting them to your position is straightforward. A minimum of 3cm must remain inserted into the VukaBullet body after cutting, and the front end of the extensions must not be cut. Note that bar-end shifters are not included.
