The Wahoo BLUESC Speed/Cadence Sensor does one thing well: it broadcasts accurate speed and cadence data to whatever device you're already riding with. It transmits simultaneously over both Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) and ANT+, which means it works with smartphones running a compatible app and with dedicated GPS bike computers — no choosing one or the other.
The unit mounts to your left chainstay via a rubber band, with a magnet on the crank arm for cadence and a spoke magnet for speed. Setup is straightforward, and battery life runs six months to a year on a standard CR2032 coin cell. Once it's running, the data feeds into any app or platform that accepts common training file formats.
