Shimano Dura-Ace BR-R9110 Direct Mount Front Brake Info
The Shimano Dura-Ace BR-R9110 Direct Mount Front Brake is built for frames with direct-mount studs — a mounting standard that eliminates the typical center-bolt anchor in favor of dedicated frame or fork bosses, reducing flex in the system and keeping the caliper positioned with more precision. At 155g, the front caliper stays lean without cutting corners on structure.
The dual-pivot design carries over a cross-pivot stabilizer between the arms, stiffening the caliper and reducing system flex during hard braking — which translates to more consistent modulation when it matters. The arms are shaped to clear tires up to 28mm, and their slimmer profile helps the caliper sit tidier against the fork crown. A micro-adjuster on the arm closes flush when not in use, keeping it out of airflow and out of harm's way. There's also a barrel adjuster at the cable stop for fine-tuning cable tension, and a top-accessed centering bolt for easy alignment. Shimano's aluminum rim-specific pads come installed, and the standard shoe design accepts most aftermarket pads if you want to swap compounds.
