Shimano Bike Components

When a single brand supplies roughly 70% of the global component market, the hierarchy runs deep. Shimano built that position through more than a century of precision manufacturing in Japan — starting with a single freewheel in 1921 and expanding into the most complete drivetrain ecosystem in cycling.

Shimano bike components at RA Cycles covers all of it: Dura-Ace 9200 and 9270 Di2 systems that dominate the Tour de France peloton, Ultegra and 105 for road riders who want pro-level function without the flagship price, GRX for gravel, and XTR and XT for the trail. Beyond groupsets: Shimano wheels, power meters, pedals, cleats, shoes, rotors, cables, and small parts across road, gravel, and mountain disciplines. Whether you’re building a complete drivetrain or tracking down a single replacement part, this is where to find it.

About Shimano

Shozaburo Shimano founded Shimano Iron Works in Sakai, Japan in 1921 with a single product: a freewheel for the domestic bicycle market. Over the following century, the company methodically expanded into every component category — derailleurs, brakes, pedals, shoes, cranks, cassettes, and eventually electronic shifting — until Shimano components appeared on more bicycles than any other brand on earth. The Dura-Ace groupset, launched in 1973, established the template the brand still follows: trickle-down technology from the professional peloton to the broader market. Di2 electronic shifting, introduced in 2009, gave professional riders the instant, consistent shifts they’d been chasing for decades; the system has since cascaded through Ultegra and 105. RA Cycles stocks Shimano components across the full hierarchy: Dura-Ace 9200 and 9270 Di2 at the top, Ultegra Di2 and mechanical through the performance middle, 105 for the value-conscious road rider, GRX for gravel, and XTR and XT for mountain. The collection extends to Shimano wheels (C36, C50, and C60 disc wheelsets), road and mountain shoes, pedals and cleats, power meters, rotors, and the full range of small parts and consumables.
