The Rotor PF4630 (BBright) to BB30 Ceramic Bottom Bracket is the purpose-built solution for running 30mm spindle cranks in a BBright press-fit shell — a standard that calls for a 79mm-wide, 46mm inner diameter housing. Where a standard steel bottom bracket leaves efficiency on the table, this one uses hybrid ceramic bearings: ceramic balls running in steel races that are harder, rounder, and smoother than all-steel alternatives, rolling with measurably less drag and requiring less frequent maintenance.
Installation follows standard press-fit procedure — two bearing cups and a sleeve, pressed in one side at a time. The kit is compatible with Rotor 3D30 and 3D30+ cranks, as well as BB386 EVO cranks, covering the most common 30mm spindle options for BBright-equipped frames. At 102g, it adds virtually nothing to the build while upgrading one of the most overlooked contact points on the drivetrain.
