BMC Roadmachine 01 One Bike Info
The BMC Roadmachine 01 One Bike is BMC's answer to a question the brand has been refining for years: how do you build a genuinely fast endurance road bike without making it feel like a compromise? The third generation Roadmachine 01 arrives with 01 Premium Carbon — the highest-grade layup in the BMC lineup — shaped by the Tuned Compliance Concept Endurance geometry. TCC isn't a marketing term for a relaxed race bike. It's a specific engineering approach that introduces compliance into the frame and fork where the rider feels it most — road buzz through the saddle, vibration through the bars — while preserving lateral stiffness at the bottom bracket where power transfer matters. The geometry runs a higher stack, dropped BB, and adapted head tube angle compared to a pure race bike, and the result is a road bike you can ride hard for six hours and still want to do it again tomorrow.
The cockpit is one of the Roadmachine 01 One's defining details. The ICS Carbon Evo is a one-piece full carbon integrated bar and stem, with cables vanishing internally from stem cap to brake lever through BMC's ICS Technology stealth routing. The 8° flare opens the drops for a more natural, secure grip — a subtle detail that pays dividends over long descents or rough surfaces. Below the bottle cages, BMC has built a water-repellent storage pouch directly into the downtube: accessible from the top, sealed against rain and road spray, large enough for tools and nutrition you'd otherwise carry in a pocket. It's the kind of detail that shows up on every long ride.
The drivetrain is Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 throughout — 2x12 electronic shifting with R9270 hydraulic disc levers, R9250 front and rear derailleurs, and the R9200 crankset paired with a 4iiii Precision Gen3+ dual-sided power meter already integrated. That last point matters at this price: a dual-sided power meter would typically add $600–900 on top of a bike purchase. Here it's part of the build. The 50/34T chainrings and 11-34T Dura-Ace cassette cover a wide range — appropriate for a bike that's as happy on long Alpine climbs as it is on fast group rides. Stopping is Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 hydraulic disc, 160mm Centerlock rotors front and rear. Rolling stock is BMC's CE 40 SL carbon wheels — 40mm deep, tubeless ready — wrapped in Vittoria Corsa N.EXT 700x32c tires. The 32mm tubeless setup completes the picture: run lower pressures on rough pavement, get more comfort and traction, without giving anything up in rolling resistance at speed. Tire clearance runs to 40mm on the frame, 36mm with the front derailleur in place.

Design Benefits
- 01 Premium Carbon frame and fork — BMC's highest-grade carbon layup applied to both frame and fork. TCC Endurance geometry targets the specific areas where compliance matters most without softening the chassis where it shouldn't give.
- Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 with dual-sided power meter included — the full R9200/R9250/R9270 Di2 electronic groupset with a 4iiii Precision Gen3+ dual-sided power meter already integrated into the crankset. No additional purchase required.
- ICS Carbon Evo integrated cockpit — one-piece full carbon bar and stem with fully internal cable routing and 8° drop flare. Stiffer and lighter than separate bar-and-stem setups, with a cleaner appearance and marginally better aerodynamics.
- Integrated downtube storage — BMC's purpose-built water-repellent storage pouch inside the downtube holds tools and nutrition without adding external bulk. Accessible mid-ride, sealed against wet weather.
- 700x32c tubeless with 40mm clearance — the Vittoria Corsa N.EXT tires are fast and supple on pavement, and the frame's clearance means you can run wider rubber for rougher routes. The Roadmachine 01 One is legitimately capable on light gravel or rough tarmac without feeling overbuilt for smooth roads.
Final Take
The Roadmachine 01 One is for the rider who wants a fast bike for long days — not a slow bike with a comfortable seat. BMC has built the TCC Endurance geometry around the reality that endurance riding and high performance aren't mutually exclusive. Dura-Ace Di2, a built-in dual-sided power meter, carbon wheels, and 32mm tubeless tires put this squarely in the category of bikes you ride to train, to race gran fondos, and to do ambitious back-road routes that don't fit neatly into one category. The Chameleon Petrol finish catches light differently depending on the angle — one of the more striking colorways currently in the lineup.
