Princeton CarbonWorks

Princeton CarbonWorks builds carbon wheels in the United States with a single design priority: speed across every variable — terrain, gradient, and crosswind. Their signature sinusoidal rim profile, a wave-shaped cross-section integrated into the rim, improves aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability in ways a conventional toroidal rim can’t match. Founded in 2012 by athletes in pursuit of the fastest wheel possible, Princeton has since supported Hour record attempts and equipped some of the world’s top Ironman competitors.

The collection at RA Cycles spans Princeton’s full lineup: the deep-section Wake 6560 EVO for road racing and time trialing, the Dual 5550 for all-around performance, the Peak 4550 EVO for climbing and technical terrain, and the Grit 4540 EVO for gravel and adventure riding. Hub options include Princeton’s own Tactic TR01 and DT Swiss 180 EXP builds, with special colorway editions available throughout the range.

About Princeton CarbonWorks

Princeton CarbonWorks was founded in 2012 by a group of competitive rowers-turned-triathletes, driven by the pursuit of the fastest possible carbon wheel. Their EVO construction and sinusoidal rim geometry set them apart in the premium carbon wheel segment: the sinusoidal profile improves how air separates from the rim surface under crosswind conditions, reducing drag and improving stability without requiring a deeper, heavier rim. Every wheel is hand-built in the United States. Visit Princeton CarbonWorks’ official website for more on their technology and construction.

The Wake 6560 EVO is Princeton’s deepest road option — a 65mm front and 60mm rear pairing optimized for flat courses and time trialing where aerodynamic efficiency matters most. The Dual 5550 and Peak 4550 EVO bring that same carbon construction to more versatile depth profiles suited to mixed terrain and climbing. The Grit 4540 EVO extends the lineup to gravel, built for rough surfaces while retaining the performance characteristics of a dedicated carbon road wheel. Multiple hub pairings are available throughout the range, including Princeton’s own Tactic TR01 and DT Swiss 180 EXP options, with special colorway editions on select models.
