Lightweight Wheels are among the most uncompromising products in cycling — handmade in Germany, built from carbon fiber, and engineered for riders who know exactly what they’re buying. The name is literal: these are some of the lightest, stiffest carbon wheelsets you can put on a road or gravel bike, and the handcrafting behind each one is reflected in the performance they deliver.

The Lightweight range at RA Cycles covers every serious use case. The Fernweg EVO is the aero deep-section road wheel, available in 63mm and 85mm profiles. The Meilenstein EVO is the all-around disc wheelset. The Obermayer EVO sits at the top of the climbing range. The Pfadfinder EVO is the gravel-specific option, tubeless-ready and disc-compatible. And the Autobahn covers time trial with a full-disc rear wheel. Each is available in multiple build levels and Schwarz Edition colorways.

About Lightweight

Lightweight was founded in Germany by Rudolf Dierl and Heinz Obermayer. Their first major product — the ULTEC disc wheel — arrived in 1990, and from the beginning the brand built by hand rather than at scale: each rim is individually laid up and cured, giving Lightweight the consistency and quality control that mass production can’t replicate. Their wheels have been ridden to victories at the Tour de France and other major professional races, and that racing pedigree has shaped every generation of product that followed. The RA Cycles Lightweight collection spans five distinct platforms. The Fernweg EVO is the aero road wheelset — available in 63mm and 85mm depth, in standard and Pro builds, with Schwarz Edition and Black colorways. The Meilenstein EVO is the all-rounder, offered as complete sets and individual wheels, including the limited ART Schwarz Edition.
