Cervelo Aspero-5 GRX Di2 Bike Info
The Cervélo Áspero-5 is designed to be a staple at the front of the gravel race field. This gravel bike brings 30 years of aerodynamic innovation from the road to dirt and beyond. As the most aerodynamic gravel bike ever produced, it delivers a 37-watt improvement over its predecessor and outpaces its closest competitor by 34 watts. A newly refined aero handlebar and stem contribute nearly 6 watts of savings alone. The Áspero-5 made an immediate impact at the highest level, debuting under UCI Gravel World Champion Marianne Vos and proving its race pedigree right out of the gate.
Despite its expanded surface area for improved aerodynamics, the updated Áspero-5 is 66 grams lighter than the previous generation. Its geometry supports up to 45mm tires and is optimized for both matched tire setups and a mixed-width approach such as 40mm front and 44mm rear. This leads to enhanced aerodynamics and sharper handling on fast, less-technical terrain. This version is equipped with 42mm tires on a Reserve 40/44TA Wheelset. Better adaptability ensures confidence and control over a wide range of courses and conditions.
Integrated downtube storage further sets the Áspero-5 apart. Adapted from Cervélo’s P-Series triathlon platform, this system is the lightest and most aerodynamic storage solution on the market, keeping tools and flat kits out of the wind and inside the frame. It is also fully equipped with a Shimano GRX Di2 groupset for high level 12-speed electronic gravel shifting. The Cervelo Aspero-5 is the kind of bike that is made to race and can be used to push the pace on your daily ride on any terrain.
