The Bont Riot Shoe - Standard is a road cycling shoe built around Bont's latest "slide and ride" construction method — a redesigned approach to how the upper and sole work together for a more natural foot hold without sacrificing power transfer. Anatomically shaped throughout, the Riot fits a wide range of foot types and positions itself as the most versatile shoe in Bont's road lineup. At $229.95, it's a serious performance shoe at an accessible price point.

The carbon composite sole is the foundation of the Riot's performance. Bont has lowered the carbon through the mid and forefoot to bring you closer to the pedal, and the 4.8mm stack height is one of the lowest in the industry — that kind of proximity to the axle improves stability, encourages a rounder pedal stroke, and reduces the strain on your knees and ankles over long efforts. Three-hole cleat mounting uses carbon steel t-nut hardware, so cleat installation and adjustment stay precise over thousands of miles without the hardware backing out.

The closure is a dual-dial BOA L6 system — sizes 40 and up feature two dials for independent adjustment across the forefoot and midfoot, while sizes 36–39 run a single dial. Either way, you're dialing in fit in seconds, and every BOA component is backed by the BOA Guarantee for the life of the shoe. The Microfiber upper is lightweight and vented, designed to move heat and moisture out across all-weather conditions.
