The Zipp SLC2 Road Bar was built around a deliberate tradeoff: push the stiffness as far as the material allows without making the bar punishing to ride. Carbon construction keeps weight at 190g, while an elongated 31.8mm center section — extended across 60% of the tops — gives you more surface to grip and a stiffer platform when you're driving power through the hoods, hooks, or drops.
Two bend profiles are available. The Short/Shallow option offers 84.5mm of reach and 128mm of drop with an oval-path curve through the bend. The Traditional option runs 88mm of reach and 130mm of drop with a more constant-radius round bend — both ramp similarly to the hoods, so the choice comes down to hand position preference. The reinforced 110mm clamp zone is designed to handle clip-on aero extensions, making the SLC2 a viable option for triathlon builds as well as road. Zipp's VCLC vibration damping is built into the construction to take the edge off road chatter before it reaches your hands.
