Wolf Tooth Mountain Rear Hub - Straight Pull Centerlock Boost

The Wolf Tooth Mountain Rear Hub - Straight Pull Centerlock Boost is the rear half of Wolf Tooth's straight pull mountain wheelset, cut for 12x148 Boost spacing in 28 hole. Freehub choice covers the three standards in use: XD, Micro Spline and HG, at a claimed 236g, 244g and 248g respectively. Centerlock rotors and straight pull spokes are both required, with bladed spokes limited to 2.6mm.

The shell and axle are machined in-house from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminium. Inside is the ENVE INNERDRIVE system, using oversized 42mm diameter steel ratchets and Wolf Tooth's Perfect Preload for low rolling resistance and bearing life. Engagement is specified at purchase through the drive ratchet: 60T, 80T or 100T, which is the real decision here. A 100T ratchet picks up fastest off the pedal stroke, a 60T gives up some of that immediacy for less drag, and the 80T sits between them.

Wolf Tooth describes the engagement as immediate with zero flex, which is the behaviour a steel ratchet driving through a short engagement arc is built for. Right to Repair means service kits and parts stay available, and the hub carries a five-year warranty. Colours are black, red, blue, orange, ultraviolet purple and gold.
