SILCA starts with S-2 steel, which is strong and hard, and easy to control in building to create the wrenches. They’re formed into a L-shape, with the long side featuring a ball-head for hard-to-reach bolts. And then they add a coat of thin-dense chrome to make the wrenches harder and more stable still. Then they spray a textured polymer over most of the wrench to improve grip. The polymer is also a high-visibility red color.

Included are eight hex-head wrenches, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.5, and 2mm. With them is a 17-4 stainless steel magnetic chuck which fits on the 6mm wrench to provide a ¼” driver bit for the extra bits. Those are Torx (8, 10, 15, 25, and 30), Philips (1, 2), and two flat head (.5, 1) drivers.

It is all packed into a CNC-machined Beachwood box. Each tool fits in its own CNC-machined slot, held in place by an elastomer tab that provides tactile feedback when you take it out and put it back in. The box is hinged and fastened by a magnetic tab.

And the tools are covered by the same 25-year SILCA Shield warranty. If you break a tool, send it back, they’ll replace it.
