Everything you need and nothing more. That's what the Niner RDO Stem possesses. Simple, light, and strong is what they were going for and what they achieved. That's what Race Day Optimization is about.
The forged aluminum stem is 1 1/8" or 31.8mm at both the handlebar and steerer tube clamps. Both clamps are wide for good purchase on clamping surfaces and torsional stiffness. Where material wasn't needed, it was removed. The bolts are stainless for strength and durability. They take 5Nm of torque to tighten. You won't need to remember this fact, it's marked on the stem.
The stem also looks good with a glossy black finish highlighted with colors that match Niner frames. For those who enjoy details, Niner has marked the clamps with the relevant details of the stem—length, angle (=/- 6º) and clamp diameters.
