SeaSucker Cable Anchor Info
The SeaSucker Cable Anchor exists because the same quick-release design that makes SeaSucker racks so convenient also makes them easy for someone else to walk off with. Cut from 1/16" polished stainless steel plate with a 1 3/8" diameter hole, this anchor gives you a fixed, vehicle-integrated point to run a security cable through — so your bikes stay on the car when you leave them unattended.
Two variants cover the most common mounting situations. The Window model bends to hook over the top of a car window, which then closes down to clamp it in place. The Trunk model has a welded bar that sits inside the trunk lid, with the anchor tab exposed outside — close the trunk and it's locked in position. From there, SeaSucker recommends a braided steel cable run in a lasso configuration: loop one end over the other, thread it through your frame and wheel, and padlock the ends to the anchor. Run a second anchor on the opposite side of the car and you can secure multiple bikes across the roof or trunk with a single cable.
