RockShox SID SL Ultimate Race Day 2P Remote 29" Suspension Fork E1 is built around a 32mm chassis, the lightest RockShox has put on an XC fork, machined to cut weight without giving up the strength you need when a race course turns technical. It's the fork RockShox builds specifically for riders who feel every extra gram on a long climb and still want something that holds a line on the descent back down.
Inside, it runs the same Charger Race Day 2 damper found across RockShox's race-day lineup, with a two-position compression switch that's either fully open or locked solid rather than a range of climb settings to manage mid-race. RockShox markets it as the lightest damper on the market, and the 2P Remote lets you flip between open and locked from the bar without letting go of the grip. DebonAir+ handles the air spring, tuned to hold its composure over the kind of chatter and small hits that build up on a full lap rather than a single climb.
Set up with a 44mm offset, a tapered steerer, and travel options of 100mm or 110mm, this fork is built for XC racers who've already dialed in the rest of their bike and are looking to shave weight at the front end without trading away the stiffness a fast, technical course demands.
