Pinarello F3 105 Di2 DT Swiss A1800 Bike Info
The Pinarello F3 105 Di2 DT Swiss A1800 Bike is the entry point into Pinarello's F-Series competition lineup — a race-geometry carbon road bike that carries the same core engineering as the F7 and F9 at a Shimano 105 Di2 price point. Pinarello has been building race bikes in Treviso since 1952, and the F-Series is their current expression of all-round competition performance: a bike designed to climb well, descend quickly, and do neither at the expense of the other. The F3 shares its Onda fork, E-TiCR headset, and aerodynamic frame architecture with every bike in the lineup, differentiating at the carbon grade and component tier rather than the fundamental design.
The frame is built from Torayca T700 UD carbon with Pinarello's TiCR internal cable routing and an Italian threaded bottom bracket shell. T700 is the same fiber used on the F5, positioned to deliver responsive performance with a slightly greater capacity to absorb road vibration than the T900 carbon used on the F7 and F9. The F-Series Onda carbon fork runs a constant 47mm rake across all nine sizes, which keeps the steering feel proportional regardless of frame size rather than letting handling behavior shift between small and large frames. Pinarello engineered the E-TiCR headset specifically for this generation of F-Series bikes: the steering tube is elliptical rather than round, using bearings of different diameters at the top and bottom cups to reduce overall headtube width while improving the stiffness of the steering interface. Cable and hydraulic hose routing exits through the front of the steering tube rather than the sides — a cleaner internal path that reduces the mechanical complexity in the headtube area. The Aero Keel bottom bracket shell draws from the Dogma F's design language: reduced in volume relative to the flagship while maintaining lateral stiffness. An integrated frontal seatpost clamp keeps the back end of the frame visually clean and protects the seat tube interface from sweat and road contamination. Tire clearance runs to 32mm, accommodating a wider tire than most competition-oriented bikes at this price.
Shimano 105 Di2 covers the full drivetrain. The R7150 front and rear derailleurs receive shift commands electronically from the R7170 levers, removing mechanical cable tension from the shifting system — shifts are precise, repeatable under load, and consistent regardless of cable stretch or housing compression because there are no cables involved. The 52/36 chainring setup pairs with an 11-34 12-speed cassette, a range that covers criterium racing and sustained climbing without needing to swap components. Shimano 105 R7170 hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping at both ends with 160mm Shimano rotors. The levers serve both shifting and braking functions, keeping the cockpit uncluttered. Thru-axles are MOST Ultra Light Custom spec — 12x100mm front, 12x142mm rear — with tool-free removal.
The DT Swiss A1800 30DB wheelset brings reliable Swiss-built construction to the build spec. At 30mm of rim depth in a disc brake-specific alloy build, the A1800s offer a modest aerodynamic profile over box-section wheels while remaining practical for general road riding in varied conditions. DT Swiss hubs and rim construction are the relevant quality argument here — the A1800 is a durable, well-made training and racing wheelset that holds up over time. The cockpit is MOST, Pinarello's house components brand: the Jaguar Claw Ultra aero aluminum handlebar and matched Claw Ultra Aero aluminum stem ship in size-matched configurations — 40cm bars for the 43cm frame, scaling to 42cm at 46.5–51.5cm, 44cm at 53–54.5cm, and 46cm at the three largest sizes. MOST Competition 700x30 tires come mounted at the factory. The saddle is the MOST Lynx.
Nine sizes from 43cm to 59.5cm give the F3's geometry genuinely broad coverage, from small riders on short-reach setups to large riders who need real standover and stack. Head tube lengths run from 97mm at the 43cm to 220mm at the 59.5cm, giving taller riders a more natural fit without a stack of spacers. The F3 makes the most sense for riders coming off an aluminum or older carbon frame who want electronic shifting and a proper competition frame from a brand with a documented race history — not a softened endurance geometry dressed up to look like a race bike, but an actual competition-category frame with the electronics and stopping power to match. Available in Interstellar Grey Shiny and Alabaster White Shiny.
