Pinarello Dogma F Red AXS Bike Info
Pinarello has been building in Treviso, Italy since 1952, and in that time no bike they've made has accumulated more victories than the Dogma. Tour de France wins. Spring classics. Grand Tour podiums. The Dogma's race record is extraordinary — and it didn't happen by accident. The Pinarello Dogma F Red AXS Bike is the current expression of that lineage: the same machine raced by Team INEOS Grenadiers, built around technologies developed in the wind tunnel, on the velodrome, and alongside the best riders in the world. At $15,750, it is one of the most capable production road bikes on the market.
The foundation is Torayca M40X carbon — a fiber Pinarello developed and validated on INEOS Grenadiers team bikes before introducing it to production. M40X has an exceptional tensile modulus that enables a step change in lateral stiffness without adding weight. You feel it under hard efforts: the Dogma F doesn't flex, doesn't dissipate power, doesn't reward anything except pure input. The aerodynamics have been reworked throughout. The downtube is slimmer than its predecessor, reducing frontal drag at the point where airflow is least disrupted. The bottom bracket area uses Pinarello's Aero-Keel design — the downtube is rotated 3.5 degrees to form a keel shape at the BB junction, a technique developed for the Hour Record that improves aerodynamic efficiency in that zone by 1.2 percent. The headtube's signature "nose" shape, first introduced on the Dogma F8 in 2014, has been refined again — 8mm narrower, cleaner in cross-section, less frontal area. Achieving that narrower headtube required Pinarello to engineer a new elliptical steering tube and a custom headset with differentiated bearing diameters: wider at the bottom for stiffness under load, narrower at the top to match the tapered head tube profile. Every millimeter of width reduction is deliberate.
The new eTICR Onda fork brings the same thinking to the front end. Slimmer blades with a 47mm rake, developed specifically with professional rider feedback for high-speed descending confidence and cornering precision. The fork integrates Pinarello's ForkFlap™ system and routes cables and hoses internally through the eTICR (electronic Total internal Cable Routing) system — the right-side axle bolt is embedded in the carbon with no external hole, cleaning up the entire front end aerodynamically. At the rear, the derailleur dropout is similarly integrated. The seatpost clamp is now fully recessed inside the seat tube — smaller, lighter, and sealed against the dust and sweat that degrade conventional external clamps over time. The result is a frame that looks like it was carved from a single piece of carbon. The complete bike weighs 6.63kg in size 53 with the Princeton Peak 4550 wheelset and SRAM Red eTap AXS, without pedals.
Design Benefits
- Torayca M40X Carbon: M40X is a high-tensile-modulus fiber that Pinarello first validated on INEOS Grenadiers team bikes before making it available in production. The exceptional tensile modulus allows a measurable increase in lateral stiffness — the frame resists torsional flex under sprint loads and out-of-saddle climbing efforts more effectively than previous Dogma generations. Stiffness without weight is the hardest engineering target to hit in carbon frame design. M40X hits it.
- Aero-Keel BB and Redesigned Downtube: The Dogma F's downtube is rotated 3.5 degrees at the BB junction to create a keel shape — a design borrowed from Pinarello's Hour Record program. The result is a 1.2 percent aerodynamic improvement in the BB area, where the downtube, chainstays, and crankset converge. Combined with the slimmer downtube profile, the Dogma F is measurably faster through the air than its predecessor without any change to the rider's position.
- eTICR Onda Fork with ForkFlap™: The new Onda fork is thinner and more aerodynamic than the previous generation, with its right-side axle bolt integrated directly into the carbon — no external boss, no external fastener. Internal eTICR cable routing runs brake hose and electronic wiring through the fork seamlessly. The ForkFlap™ system seals the cable entry points. At 47mm of rake, the fork was tested by professional riders to ensure it delivers the response and confidence needed at race speeds on technical descents.
- SRAM Red eTap AXS with Power Meter: SRAM Red is the top of the wireless groupset hierarchy — lighter actuation, faster shift response, and greater precision than Force. The E1 crankset includes an integrated power meter, which at this level isn't a luxury but an expected training and racing tool. The 48/35 chainring setup with a 10-36 cassette handles both criterium racing and high-mountain stages without compromise.
- Princeton Peak 4550 Wheelset: The asymmetric Princeton Peak 4550 DB uses a 45mm front rim and 50mm rear rim, a depth profile chosen to balance aerodynamics with crosswind stability. Princeton Carbon's PEAK rim profile is a known quantity at the professional level — low drag, high stiffness, and reliable tubeless compatibility with the Continental Grand Prix 5000S TR tires.
Final Take
The Dogma F Red AXS is Pinarello's statement about what a road bike can be. Every material choice, every geometry refinement, every integration detail points in the same direction: faster, stiffer, lighter, cleaner. This is the bike that INEOS Grenadiers riders have used to contest Grand Tours, and it arrives at your door with the same frame engineering, the same groupset, and the same wheelset. If you're looking for a ceiling, this is close to it.
