ENVE Seatpost - Twin Bolt Info
ENVE’s original one-bolt seatpost was strong, light, beautiful. There were different inserts depending on whether you had oversized carbon rails or standard metal. But in certain high-stress situations under big riders, the post occasionally slipped. So it was back to the drawing board, and the ENVE Twin Bolt Carbon-Fiber Seatpost came out of the works.
This carbon-fiber post is no delicate flower. They designed it for all bikes and all kinds of riding. Svelte road bikes, to ‘cross rigs, to cross-country, enduro, even downhill mountain bikes. Whether you’re big or small, smooth or rough, a person who babies components or abuses them, this post will satisfy both your needs and your wants.
It looks quite a bit like their one-bolt post. Like the original, it is molded from uni-directional carbon-fiber. Like the original, it has inserts at the top, which make precisely adjusting the seatpost angle a breeze-from zero to 27 degrees. But unlike the original, the clamp has two opposed bolts that work against wedges to secure the clamp in the post. And by further compressing or loosening the bolts can micro-adjust the angle of the saddle.
The post comes on one length, 400mm, and a variety of diameters and setbacks. Weight for the post is 204g, feathery for something so long. It also comes with two upper clamps, one for 7mm rails and another for 7x10mm carbon-fiber rails.
At the time of this writing, ENVE does not have a fitment for installing Shimano Di2 batteries inside the post.
The ENVE Seatpost, a Twin Bolt beauty, is the kind of functional design that ENVE is rightly known for.
