Capo Super Corsa Inverno Jersey Info

The Capo Super Corsa Inverno Jersey is a winter-weight, long sleeve cycling jersey with a clean design and a technical fabric spec. Capo developed it for riders who need one jersey that works across a wide range of activities, from long base-training days to early-season tempo work.

Thermo Roubaix DWR fabric

The jersey is made throughout from Thermo Roubaix DWR, a fabric with brushed insulation on the inside and a smooth face treated with a Durable Water Repellant finish. Capo designed it to keep you warm without leaving you soaked when the pace picks up, and the DWR treatment sheds light precipitation or snow. The blend is 51% PA, 32% PL and 17% EA.

Capo recommends it for roughly 30 to 50 degrees F. Adding a base layer or vest extends that range, and Capo suggests layering with a vest, base layer or jacket to carry the jersey through deep winter.

Details

A tall tapered collar covers the neck, and Capo waist elastic keeps the hem in place. Three rear pockets hold your essentials, and a 2-way 5mm coil YKK camlock zipper lets you vent from either end. Made in Italy, in black, sizes S through XXL.

The RA Perspective

The Inverno is a long sleeve jersey that does the job of a light jacket without the bulk. The Thermo Roubaix fabric has a brushed inside for warmth and a DWR-treated outside, so it holds up to a bit of drizzle or flurries on mixed days in fall and spring.

Its strength is range. Capo built it for both slow base miles and harder tempo days, and the idea is that it holds warmth without turning into a sponge when your effort goes up. The 2-way zipper helps there, because you can open the bottom to vent while keeping the collar closed. The tall collar is a nice detail for riders who run cold at the neck.

A few things to keep in mind. Capo rates it for 30 to 50 degrees F, so it is a cool-to-cold jersey, not a deep-winter one. Below freezing you will want a base layer and a vest, and above the mid-50s it will probably be too warm. The DWR finish is water repellant, not waterproof, so a steady rain will get through.

This is the jersey for riders who log miles through the colder months and want a single piece that covers most of the days between autumn and spring. Add a vest or jacket as the temperatures fall.
