The BMC Speedmachine 01 is a bike that is built to hit the highest possible speeds on the road in any scenario. Real races do not take place in a regulated wind tunnel. They are packed with variables that make it necessary for a rider to adjust and implement different riding styles. The Speedmachine is designed around getting the most speed out of anything a triathlon leg can throw at you. This module is complete with a fork, handlebars, and seatpost and is ready to be built into a true superbike. Packed with aero features, integration, storage, and positioning flexibility, the BMC Speedmachine 01 helps athletes find their most efficient ride.
When it comes to triathlon bikes, pure aerodynamics is the foremost priority. The Speedmachine 01 is engineered for optimal aerodynamics, minimal weight, and unmatched power transfer. BMC’s ShakFin design was inspired by F1 cars, adding a spoiler to the front of the fork which cleans up air flow around the frame. Every tube is aerodynamically optimized and made to control airflow. In addition to all of these aero improvements, the Speedmachine is 0.5 kg lighter than the Timemachine with the same level of stiffness. With the BMC Speedmachine 01, you can count on the most efficient ride to save your energy for the next leg.
Typically, straight line sprinting speed comes at the expense of stability and comfort. BMC used their Impec Lab to optimize weight distribution and bar extensions to help stay in an aero position longer while using less energy. Tons of feedback from BMC’s professional riders was taken into account and they raved about how stable the Speedmachine feels at high speeds, on climbs, and in cross winds. The BMC Speedmachine is not just statistics in a wind tunnel. It is packed with features to make a rider more capable of their best performance.
The cockpit has been reimagined and integration enhanced on the Speedmachine to make a rider’s bike one that perfectly suits them. There is a wide range of extension adjustments along with countless stack, reach, and width possibilities. The cockpit can also be disassembled with the removal of just four bolts, making travel a breeze. Integrated into the frame, you will find easy access to hydration, fuel, and other essentials. An aerodynamic 1.2 liter fuel tank, integrated hydration tube, and aero rear storage all make sure you have what you need while enhancing aero performance. There is even an integrated rear light for rider safety. The BMC Speedmachine 01 is an evolution in triathlon performance.
