The Yeti MT XX AXS Bike is the top build in Yeti's MT trail bike lineup, a non-motorized platform that carries forward a decade of Sixfinity suspension development that also underpins Yeti's LTe and MTe eMTBs. This XX AXS kit pairs SRAM's XX AXS transmission and Maven Ultimate brakes with a frame built exclusively in Yeti's top-tier TURQ Series Carbon. It's a trail bike built for riders who want to push speed and terrain without the compromises that usually come with a "do-it-all" label.
Sixfinity is Yeti's six-bar suspension linkage, and on the MT it delivers 140mm of rear travel matched to a 160mm-travel Fox Factory 36 Grip X2 fork and a Fox Factory Float X shock. All six bars work together to control wheel path and drive the shock, giving Yeti independent control over acceleration and deceleration behavior rather than the compromises of a simpler linkage. The kinematics on the MT are tuned specifically for this bike rather than borrowed from another model in the lineup. A flip-chip lets you adjust the leverage rate between a racy, consistent feel, a balanced setting, or a plush-then-poppy curve with more bottom-out support, all while geometry, anti-squat, and anti-rise stay consistent regardless of which setting you choose.
The XX AXS build kit backs up the suspension with a drivetrain to match. SRAM's XX AXS transmission runs a 12-speed 10-52 cassette and 30t chainring through a SRAM XX crankset and DUB BSA73 bottom bracket, shifted wirelessly through AXS Pod Controllers. Maven Ultimate brakes bite 200mm rotors up front and 160mm out back, plenty of power for a bike built to be ridden hard downhill. DT Swiss XMC1700 EVO carbon wheels are wrapped in a Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro front tire and Romy Trail Pro rear, both in the soft Ultra Soft/Soft compounds at 29x2.5 for grip on varied terrain. A RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post, Burgtec Enduro MK4 stem, and Yeti's own 35mm-rise carbon handlebar round out a cockpit built around control at speed.
Yeti only offers the MT in TURQ Series Carbon, its highest-modulus, lightest layup, and builds in details aimed at making the bike easier to live with, not just faster. Frame storage — Yeti calls it "The Cavity" — holds tools, tubes, or snacks low in the frame, accessed through a CNC-machined door with a roller-cam lever and a dual-density rubber gasket for a secure, sealed fit. A strapless top-tube accessory mount and a stealth AirTag/Tile mount below the frame storage door add practical carrying and security options without straps or aftermarket brackets. Cables run through end-to-end carbon tubes secured with pinch bolts at the frame's entry and exit points, and a redesigned chain-slap silencer keeps the ride quiet. Dropper post travel scales by frame size for full, unobstructed insertion.
Geometry on the MT uses longer, size-specific chainstays to balance front-to-rear weight distribution and improve climbing traction, along with increased stack and longer reach for stability at speed. Riders who want to fine-tune reach further can do so with aftermarket headset cups, since the MT is built around the ZS44/56 headtube standard with integrated alignment notches for proper cup positioning. Outlets including Blister Review and Pinkbike have noted the MT's energetic, sporty character alongside the composure to be pushed hard, and Bicycling called out the Sixfinity suspension as some of the best rear suspension they've ridden on any bike, motorized or not. This is a trail bike for riders who want a genuinely capable, no-compromise ride rather than a bike built around one narrow style of trail. It's available in Gunmetal, Turquoise, and Redrum finishes, in sizes S through XL.
