The Yeti MT XT Di2 Bike brings Yeti's World Cup-proven SIXFINITY suspension platform to the brand's trail bike lineup, stepping in as the successor to the long-running SB130 and SB140. It's built to sit squarely in the middle of the trail category — enough travel and stability to handle aggressive terrain, without the weight or sluggishness of a longer-travel enduro bike. This XT Di2 build pairs that suspension platform with Shimano's XT Di2 electronic drivetrain and Fox Factory suspension, delivering the MT's core ride character at a more accessible price point than Yeti's SRAM AXS-equipped builds.
Frame and Suspension
The MT runs Yeti's SIXFINITY suspension, a six-bar linkage design that controls wheel path and shock rate independently, giving Yeti's engineers more precise control over how the suspension responds to pedaling versus how it absorbs impacts. The kinematics on the MT are tuned specifically for this bike rather than carried over from another model, delivering 140mm of rear travel matched to a 160mm-travel Fox Factory 36 fork. A flip chip lets riders adjust the leverage rate progression across three settings, from a racy, consistent feel to a plusher, poppier one, without altering the bike's geometry, anti-squat, or anti-rise characteristics. The frame is built exclusively in Yeti's top-tier TURQ series carbon, a high-modulus layup intended to balance impact resistance and stiffness with a flex profile that reduces trail vibration reaching the rider. Frame storage built into the down tube, accessed through a CNC-machined door with a roller-cam latch and rubber gasket, keeps tools, tubes, or snacks low in the frame instead of in a pack or pockets.
Drivetrain and Brakes
This build uses a Shimano XT Di2 electronic drivetrain, a 12-speed single-ring setup with a 30-tooth chainring and a 10-51 cassette that gives riders a wide enough gear range for steep, technical climbs while still holding speed on faster trail sections. Shimano XT 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping power, matched to 203mm rotors up front and 180mm in the rear — sizing that favors braking power and heat management on longer, faster descents where a trail bike this capable is likely to get pushed hard.
Wheels, Tires, and Cockpit
DT Swiss M1900 wheels front and rear are built for the demands of aggressive trail riding, paired with Schwalbe's Albert Trail Pro tire up front and Romy Trail Pro out back, both in a 29x2.5 width with Ultra Soft and Soft compounds respectively — a grippier front tire and faster-rolling rear tire, a common combination for riders who want confidence on descents without giving up too much climbing efficiency. The cockpit centers on Yeti's own carbon handlebar with a 35mm rise and 780mm width, mounted to a Burgtec Enduro MK4 stem and a Cane Creek 40 headset.
